Why can't I view all the photos on my phone?

To minimize network bandwidth and maximize performance, we show your 2,000 most recent photos and screenshots from your Android device.

Also, we only get photos that are in the Camera Roll or Screenshots folders on your Android device. If you moved or saved your photos to a different folder on your Android device, they will not appear in the Your Phone app.

If you only see 25 photos, be sure to update the Your Phone app. Go to the Microsoft Store, search for Your Phone, and select the app from the results list. If there's a prompt displaying an available update, follow the instructions.

Can I delete my photos?

Yes, you can. Photos you delete in the Your Phone app will be deleted from your Android device's local storage, and won't impact cloud backups you have.

Why am I getting an "unable to delete photos" error?

There are a few reasons you might be getting this error. You may have already deleted this photo on your Android device and the photo hasn’t refreshed in the Your Phone app. In this case, try refreshing the photos page to see if your image is still displayed.

If you’re still receiving an error, try opening the Your Phone Companion or Link to Windows app on your Android device and then try deleting the photo from the Your Phone app again. We also recommend that you have the latest version of both the Your Phone app on your PC and the companion app on your Android device.

Can I view videos that are on my Android device?

No. The Your Phone app currently only supports the ability to view images, not videos.

Can I edit a photo that's on my Android device?

Yes. Your Phone supports the ability to copy a photo from your Android device to your PC, and then edit that copy in the Photos app on Windows 10. Learn more about editing photos in the Your Phone app
