This article provides access to updated product documentation for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. This release of Microsoft Dynamics AX included new retail functionality, as well as a new set of features that supports management of warehouses and transportation functions. Installation information
Separate installation instructions are provided for updating content that's already been installed and for installing content in a languages that hasn’t yet been installed on your help Server.
To update Help Server content that’s already installed, complete the following steps:-
From your server navigate to the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 production installation folder. Save and unzip the hotfix file for the language that you are installing.
Verify that the Microsoft Dynamics AX DVD image is copied to a network location. Open the following Microsoft Dynamics AX DVD image folder: Drive:\Msi\HelpContent Note When you unzip the hotfix file, each .zip file produces a file named similar to this: HelpContent_pt-br.msi file. In this example, the .msi file contains Help content in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br). -
Double-click the Setup.exe icon. When the Setup program starts, click the Install link, and then click Next in the Welcome dialog.

Select the Add or modify components option and click Next.

In the Add or modify components dialog, the components that are already installed are selected, including the Help Server. Click Next.

In the Language and content selection dialog, the languages that you’ve installed content for are selected. Clear the selection for the languages that you’re updating and click Next. This causes the content for those languages to be removed, which is a prerequisite for installing updated content.
Note In previous versions you used the Windows Control Panel to uninstall Help content. Now you can successfully remove content for multiple languages in a single step using the Microsoft Dynamics AX Setup program. -
A message is displayed similar to the following: The following HelpContent_PT-BR;HelpContent_ PT-BR Any customizations made to this help content since it was installed will be lost. Do you want to continue?
If you added your own content to your Help Server by following the instructions in the, the content you added will be in a different folder and will not be removed. Click OK to remove content for the languages you specified. -
When the selected content has been removed, you’ll need to restart the Setup program and re-install updated content for the languages you specified. To begin, double-click the Setup.exe icon. When the Setup program starts, click the Install link, and then click Next in the Welcome dialog.

Select the Add or modify components option and click Next.

In the Add or modify components dialog, select HelpServer and click Next.

The languages that you removed content for have been cleared. Select the languages to install content for and click Next.

When the Ready to install dialog displays, click Install to update the content for the languages you selected. Click Finish when the installation process is finished.
To install Help Server content for a language that has not yet been installed, complete the following steps:

From your server navigate to the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 production installation folder. Save and unzip the hotfix file for the language that you are installing.

Prerequisites
You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 installed to apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
File information
The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
