Mute your mic from the Taskbar
The taskbar provides a centralized and convenient way to control your microphone during calls, allowing you to mute or unmute quickly without navigating app-specific interfaces. This is especially useful when multitasking, as you can manage the microphone without switching back to the call app.
To mute or unmute your microphone from the taskbar during a Teams call, follow these steps:
-
Once you’ve started or joined a meeting, press the Windows logo key+T to move your focus to the taskbar pane.
-
Press the Tab key to select the Show hidden icons button, then press the Right arrow key until you hear "Microphone" followed by its status. Press Enter to mute or unmute your call.
