Maybe you need test data in Microsoft Excel for a presentation. Or maybe a Microsoft Word draft could help you get past your writer’s block—or your presentation needs an example document. Microsoft 365 Copilot can quickly create the content for you, using a Python code interpreter.

Create sample data or content

Go to Microsoft 365.
Select the Copilot icon in the left pane.
Type a prompt that tells Copilot what info you want and whether to create it in Word or Excel.

Here are some of the things you could ask Copilot to create for you:

Create a document in Word about the history of software.
Create an Excel file of fake sales data for North, South, East, and West regions.
Create a template for a letter announcing an important promotion and put it in Word.
