Symptoms
Windows Multipoint Server 2011 uses Remote Desktop IP Virtualization to assign a unique IP address for each user upon logon. If DHCP cannot provide a unique IP address within the time frame that is allocated for the request, there is no retry mechanism, and a non-unique IP address is assigned to the session. Therefore,Ā duplicate IP addresses may be detected. When this occurs, user sessions may be logged off unexpectedly.Ā
