Symptoms

"Valid frxque.mdb file not found. Check QueDirectory setting in the SYSTEM.CFG. Will attempt to use local engine to rebuild index."This error occurs when launching the FRx Designer. After clicking OK, the program will run normally.

Cause

There is an invalid Queue32 setting in the FRX.INI file.ORThere is an invalid QueDirectory setting in the System.cfg file.

Resolution

If the FRx Report Server is not being used Close FRx Designer.
Click the Start button, and then click Run. Type frx.ini, and then click OK. The FRX.INI file opens in Notepad. Scroll to the [CONFIG] section. Change the Queue32 setting from TRUE to FALSE. Save and close the FRX.INI file.
Launch FRx Designer again - the error should no longer occur.
If the FRx Report Server is being used Close FRx Designer. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the FRx SysData directory. Open the System.cfg file in Notepad. If the [SysData] section exists, there should be a QueDirectory line below it. Change the value for the QueDirectory setting to the directory containing the FRxQue32.mdb file. By default, this is the same as the SysData directory, but it may be different depending upon the paths specified when the Report Server was installed. If the [SysData] section does not exist, or the QueDirectory line is not present, enter the lines at the bottom of the System.cfg file as shown below:
[Sysdata]QueDirectory=\\\\server\\share\\frx\\sysdata\\
The path shown should be replaced with the path for your queue directory, and the path MUST have a trailing backslash. Save and close the System.cfg file.
Launch FRx Designer again - the error should no longer occur.
