When Spotlight in Play My Emails is turned on, Cortana will identify your priority emails from the last three days and read those first.
What emails does Cortana Spotlight?
Spotlight identifies emails that you’re likely to engage with, such as emails you're mentioned in; emails where someone requests a response from you or assigns you a task; email replies to your request; and emails similar to those you've engaged heavily with in the past.
How long will Cortana Spotlight an email?
Cortana will Spotlight emails received within the last 3 days. If no Spotlight emails are received within that timeframe, Cortana will play your emails as usual in the order received.
