Symptoms
Assume that you do not have permission to access the Application Object Server (AOS) that is defined by the default Microsoft Dynamics AX configuration that uses the Excel add-in in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. In this situation, if the default Microsoft Dynamics AX configuration is incorrect, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Unable to connect to a Microsoft Dynamics AX WCF Service.
However, you cannot open the Options dialog box to change connection information about the Excel Add-in workbook.
Cause
This problem occurs because the Client SDK does not obtain a default WCF configuration to work with. The add-in uses this default WCF configuration and just overrides the endpoint URIs to switch between AOSes.

Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
