Symptoms
When you create a synchronization connection in the User Profile Service Application (UPA) in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, you cannot configure Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for the synchronization connection.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix package:
