Symptoms

When you try to download a video from the Microsoft Xbox Video app directly to an additional SD card or a USB disk, the download process stops at 99 percent, returns to zero (0), and then starts to download again.

Cause

This issue occurs because the copy that is made from the main storage to the SD card or USB disk at the end of the download can be a lengthy process. (The process can require up to 10 minutes or more for a full movie.) In this case, the operating system cancels the task.

How to obtain this hotfix or update

To resolve this issue, we released the following hotfixes for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. We also released an update rollup for Windows RT 8.1. Before you install one of these hotfixes, check the hotfix prerequisites.
