Symptoms

When you try to delete a void check entry batch that has a status of "Hold" or "Balanced" in Microsoft Business Solutions - Solomon Accounts Payable, the batch is not deleted. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

System Message 10092 - Specified record type aptran is not in the current view. Context: delete


Workaround

To work around this problem, change the batch status to "Hold," and then delete the batch. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Void Check Entry (03.040.00) dialog box.

2. In the Batch Number box, type the number of the batch that you want to delete.

3. In the Handling list, click Hold .

    By default, No Action is selected in the Handling list.

4. Click Save , and then click Delete

   The following confirmation message appears: 


System Message 12 - Are you sure you want to delete?

  5. Click Yes .

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This problem has been reported as bug 7775. If a hotfix is available, you can find the hotfix in the "Downloads & Updates" section of PartnerSource or of CustomerSource. If you do not find a hotfix for this issue number in PartnerSource or in CustomerSource, search the "Summary of Changes" document for the next Solomon release or for the next service pack. The "Summary of Changes" document lists the changes that have been made in the release or in the service pack.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Create a void check entry batch. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Open the Void Check Entry (03.040.00) dialog box.

b. In the Check Number box, type the reference number of the check that you want to void.

c. In the Control box, type the control amount.

d. In the Handling list, click Hold .

e. Click Save , note the batch number, and then click Close .

2. Try to delete the void check entry batch that you created in step 1. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Open the Void Check Entry (03.040.00) dialog box.

b. In the Batch Number box, type the number of the batch that you want to delete.

c. Click Delete .

    The following confirmation message appears: 


System Message 12 - Are you sure you want to delete?

 d. Click Yes .

You receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
