OK, let’s try removing and reinstalling your scanner. This will update your scanner’s drivers and ensure that your scanner is properly installed on your PC.
- 
            Remove the scanner in Settings - 
                Select Start > Settings > Devices> Printers & scanners 
- 
                Under the Printers & scanners header, select the scanner you are troubleshooting. Select Remove device. Follow the instructions to fully remove the scanner.

            Remove any 3rd party scanner manufacturer software - 
                Select Start > Settings > Apps 
- 
                Under the Apps & features header, scroll to find any software installed from your scanner’s manufacturer (such as HP, Canon, or Epson).

                Select the software and select Uninstall.

            Turn off and restart your scanner - 
                Turn off your scanner and unplug its power cable. Wait 30 seconds. Plug your scanner back in and turn the scanner back on.

            Reinstall your scanner in Settings - 
                Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners

                Select the Add printer or scanner link at the top of the screen and follow the instructions to reinstall your scanner.
