Wherever you see a search icon on your Windows 10 Mobile device, select it to search for help, apps, files, or settings.
Need help finding an app? On Start , swipe over to the All apps list. In the search box, type the partial or full name of an installed app to find it.
To find an app you don't have installed, type your search, and then select Search Store below the "No results…" message. You'll get results for apps and games in the Store that match your search, as well as relevant music, movies, and TV shows.
To find a file on your phone, search using File Explorer. On Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select File Explorer > Menu . Select either Recent or This Device, then select Search and type your search to find recent files or files across your entire device.
To find a setting or settings menu on your phone, on Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Settings . Select Find a setting, type the partial or full name of a settings menu, and you'll see all the results that match your search. For example, type "lock" to find lock screen, or type "mode" to find airplane mode and driving mode.
