How does the Magic Link option work?

Magic Link is a legacy email sign-in option for existing Clipchamp personal accounts. If the option is available, select the link sent to your email to verify your email address. Clipchamp might then ask you to connect a personal Microsoft account or sign in with the one that's already connected.

  1. Open the Clipchamp sign-in page in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, and then select Continue with email if it's available.
  2. If a password field is shown, select Use link instead.
  3. Enter the email address you previously used for your Clipchamp account.
  4. Select Send a link to my email.
  5. On your computer, open the email from Clipchamp and select the sign-in link.
  6. If you're asked to connect or sign in with a personal Microsoft account, follow the prompts. If a Microsoft account is already connected, use it to keep access to your existing projects.

Each link expires after one hour, and you can use it only once. If the link expired or you already used it, go to the sign-in page to request a new one. Keep the link private, just like a password.

Allow a few minutes for delivery. If the email doesn't arrive:

  • Make sure you entered the right email address and that you're checking the inbox for the address you used before with Clipchamp.
  • Check your junk or spam folder and any rules or forwarding settings that could move the message to another folder or inbox.
  • If Clipchamp says it sent a link recently, look for that message and wait before you request another one.
  • If your organization manages the inbox, ask your IT team to check whether messages from Clipchamp are blocked or quarantined.

Alternative sign-in methods

To sign in to your existing Clipchamp account, use the personal Microsoft account connected to it. For help finding or connecting that account, see Sign in with an existing personal account.

To create a new Clipchamp account, use a personal Microsoft account. The Windows app also uses Microsoft sign-in, not Magic Link.
