How to uninstall Office 2013 or Office 365

If this doesn’t work, use the Fix it tool to completely remove Office.

Important The instructions below are for removing Office 2013 only. For help removing earlier versions of Office, see How to uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if you cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?
  1. Go to this Fix it.

  2. At the bottom of your browser screen, click Open.

    Note If the file doesn’t open, click Save and then click Open Folder. Find the file (the name should start with "O15CTRRemove"), and then double-click it to run the Fix it.
To reinstall Office again:
  • If you’re a home user, go to your account page, and then click Install.
  • If you’re a business user, go to the Office 365 portal, and then click Install.
If the Fix it doesn’t completely remove Office from your PC, you can remove Office manually. Or, contact Microsoft Support for help.
