- You have the Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell installed on a computer that is running Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.
- You have a domain controller that is running at a forest functional level of Windows Server 2012 or of an earlier version of Windows Server.
- You run the Get-ADUser cmdlet or the Get-ADComputer cmdlet against any domain controller in the forest.
- You use the -Properties * parameter to display all the attributes that are set on the object.
In this scenario, the command fails, and you receive an error message that resembles the following:
