Steps to modify the Transfer Edit List report to include To Site Address in Report Writer.

Question:

I'm in Item Transfer Entry (Transactions - Inventory - Transfer Entry). For the site I'm transferring to, I'd like the address to print on the Transfer Edit List. How can I accomplish this?

Answer:

Go into Report Writer (Tools-Customize-Report Writer).

Linking:
 
1. Choose the Tables icon from the top menu bar.
2. In the Tables window, highlight IV_TRX_WORK_LINE and choose the Open button.
3. In the Table Definition window choose the Relationships button.
4. Choose the New button.
New :

• Click on the Ellipse button to the left of the Secondary Table line. (The button with three periods)
• Select the Site Setup and click OK .
• For the Secondary Table Key select: (IV_Location_SETP_Key1)
• Match the appropriate fields (Transfer To Location Code matched with Location)
• Choose OK .
Close the Table Relationships window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of that window.
• Choose OK .
Close the Tables window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of that window.


     
Opening the Report:

• Choose the Reports icon from the top menu bar.
• From the Original Reports side, highlight the Inventory Transfers Edit List and choose Insert .
• Then on the Modified Reports side, highlight the same report and choose the Open button.
• In the Report Definition window choose the Tables button.


     
Tables:

• In the Report Table Relationships window, highlight the Inventory Transaction Amount Work and choose the New button.
• Highlight Site Setup and choose the OK button.
• Select the Close button.
• In the Report Definition window choose the Layout button.


     
Layout - Bringing fields onto the report:

• In the Toolbox choose Site Setup from the drop down list.
• In the scrolling window find Address 1, Address 2, Address 3 and drag them into the H2 section on the report.


     
Leaving Report Writer:

• Choose the X from the top right corner of the Report Layout window.
• Save your changes.
• Choose OK in the Report Definition window.
• From the top menu bar, choose File - Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise .
• Give users access to the modified report in the Security Setup window (Setup - System - Security) .
