Microsoft Teams is tightly integrated with SharePoint. Not only can you chat and meet on Teams, but you can collaborate with your colleagues with file sharing, SharePoint lists and libraries, and more. Did you know you could also add a tab with your SharePoint site to a Teams channel?
When you add a site to a Teams channel, you can do all the same things you would do on the site outside of the Teams channel (assuming you have appropriate permissions to the site).
