  1. On the Insert tab, select Text Box and draw a text box near the picture on your slide.

  2. Type your text in the box, and then drag the box over your photo.

  • On the Home tab, use the Font options to format the text as you want.

  • To select both items, first select the photo, press Ctrl and then select the text box. On the Shape Format tab, select  Group pictures, shapes, objects button ​​​​​​​Group choose  Group pictures, shapes, objects button Group under Arrange.
