  1. Select the cells to merge.

  2. On the Home tab, select Excel merge and center icon Merge & Center in the Alignment group.Merge & Center keeps the top left cell's content and discards the data of other cells. To merge cells and keep data, see Use the CONCAT function.

Tip: To unmerge, select the merged cell and choose  Excel merge and center icon Merge & Center again.
