Delete a section or section group

1. Right-click the section or section group name, and then select  Delete.

2. Select Yes.

Tip: If you change your mind, you have 60 days to recover a deleted section.
You'll need to recreate a section group, but if you do it before you recover, move the sections directly to the group. 

Deleting a section is permanent. If you are certain you want to delete a section: You can only delete a section group in OneNote for the desktop. 

1. Right-click the section name, and then select  Delete Section.

2. Select Permanently Delete.

1. Control-click the section or section group name and choose Delete Section.

2. Select Yes.
