Your computer name identifies it on a network.

Find your computer name in Windows

  1. Press the Windows key and type System. 

  2. Select About.

    On the About page, see the Device name (computer name) under Device specifications, and follow the Domain or workgroup link under Related links for that info.

Find your computer name on a Mac

  1. Choose the  Apple logo Apple menu and select System Settings. 

  2.  On the General tab, select About.  .

    The computer name appears at the top of the window.
