Draw a circle, line, or other shape

1. On the Draw tab, choose a pen. Select the down-arrow under a selected pen to change color, and thickness. If you don't have that option, select  More Colors or Colors and Thickness. 

2. Select   Shapes and choose a shape from the Shapes gallery.
   To draw freehand, see Draw on a page. 
   
   To exit Draw mode, choose    Select or   Draw with touch. 

Tip: Select   Ink to Shape or  Automatic Shapes and draw your own shape. Release your finger or drawing tool, and the hand-drawn shape converts to a movable and resizable proper shape.

1. To draw a preset shape, on the Draw tab, select ​​​​​​​  ​​​​​​​Shapes and choose a shape from the Shapes gallery.

2. Use your mouse, stylus, or finger to drag the shape to the size you'd like.

3. To exit Draw mode, select  Type.

1. On the Insert tab, select a shape from the gallery, and draw it on the page with your mouse or touchpad. 

   

2. Select the shape and use the Shape Format tab to choose Thickness,  Arrange, or  Rotate.

3. Select   Line Color to change colors. 
   
   To exit Draw mode, select outside the shape.
