Double-click near the top of the page to open the header.

Click the watermark to select it and do one of the following:

Drag the watermark rotation or sizing handles to change its position on the page.

Select the WordArt tab to edit the text if it's a text watermark.

Select the Picture Format tab to edit the image if it's a picture watermark.
Editing a watermark isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can, however, add a watermark in the desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
