Double-click near the top of the page to open the header.

Select the watermark and do one of the following:

Drag the watermark rotation or sizing handles to move it on the page.

Select the WordArt tab to edit a text watermark.

Select the Picture Format tab to edit a picture watermark.
Editing a watermark isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can, however, edit a watermark in the desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.

Hover to get a four headed cursorÂ
and drag the watermark to move it on the page. -
On the Design tab, select Watermark to edit a text watermark.

Double-click a picture watermark to edit in Format Picture.
