You are using classic Outlook for Microsoft 365 (the subscription version of Outlook).
If you want more details, go to the File tab and select Office Account. There you'll see three sections with more information:Â
-
Top of page    This section tells you whether your copy is a subscription or standalone version, who it's registered to, and the apps included.Â
-
On the About Outlook button    Here's the release number, like 2105 (May 2021), and build number, such as 14026.201. It's usually only used by Microsoft internally or if you belong to Office Insiders.Â
-
In the About Outlook dialog    This is the full- and sub version number, such as 16.0.1. This number is often used when discussing features and upgrades. You'll also see whether it's a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Outlook.Â
You are using new Outlook.Â
If you want specific details about the version number:
-
In mail, on the View tab, select
 View settings. -
Select General > About Outlook.
The version number of the app is shown there.Â
