Get the word count for a presentation

PowerPoint knows the word count for the full presentation:

1. Select the File tab, then select Info.

2. Towards the lower right, select Show All Properties.

3. Under Properties, see Words.

PowerPoint knows the word count for the full presentation:

1. Go to File > Properties, and then select Statistics.

2. See Words, for the presentation's word count.

Getting the word count isn't currently possible in PowerPoint for the web. You can, however, get the word count in the PowerPoint desktop app.

• To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select  Editing and choose Open in Desktop App.
