In GroupMe, you can easily remove a contact from your contact list. When you delete a contact, they will no longer appear in your contact list, but you will still be able to exchange messages. You can also add back users you've removed using their share code.
To remove a contact in GroupMe:

Select your profile picture, select Contacts

Select the contact you want to remove, then select Remove Contact.
Tip: You can also swipe left on a contact in your contact list and select REMOVE.

In the confirmation window, select Remove.
To remove a contact in GroupMe:
