Invite people to a meeting in Microsoft Teams
Include people in important discussions, presentations, and more by inviting them to meetings in Microsoft Teams. There are several different ways to invite people to a meeting, depending on whether you organized the meeting.
The type of meeting you invite someone to, how you invite them, and the relationship that person has with your org, can all impact their access to certain meeting features, like meeting chat. To learn more, see Access meeting chat in Microsoft Teams.
Add people to a meeting
Add people directly to a meeting before and after you schedule it. When you add someone to the meeting, they’ll automatically receive an invite and the meeting will appear in their Teams calendar.
To add someone directly to an event:

Select Calendar
in Teams. -
Schedule an event or select an existing one and select More optionsÂ
> Edit . -
In the Invite required attendees
 field, enter who you want to add.-
Select Response optionsÂ
 > Add optional attendees to add optional attendees.

Request someone to join
Add someone to a meeting you’re in to include them in discussions or remind them to join. That person will be notified that they’re being requested to join and can join directly from the notification. They’ll also have access to the meeting chat, whether they join or not. To request someone to join a meeting you’re in:

Select People
in your meeting controls.-
To ask someone who was invited to join the meeting, hover over their name and select Request to join.

To add someone who wasn't previously invited, type their name or phone number in the Type a name field and select Request to join.

Note:Â Up to 1,000 invitees can join and participate during a Teams meeting. Up to 10,000 invitees can join as view-only attendees in meetings that already have 1,000 participants.

Forward a meeting
Invite someone to a meeting you didn’t organize by forwarding the meeting to them. When you forward a meeting to someone, they’ll receive a meeting request that appears to come from the meeting organizer. The meeting organizer will be notified that you forwarded the meeting.
Note: If the organizer turned off Allow forwarding in Response options, you won’t be able to forward the meeting or series.
To forward a meeting:Â

Select Calendar
in Teams. -
Select the meeting you want to forward.

Select View event
.-
To forward a single event, select Forward
 > Forward this event . -
To forward an entire series, select View series
​​​​​​​> Forward  > All events in the series.

In the To field, enter who you want to forward the event or series to.

Add an optional message for the recipient to see.

Select Send
.
