Note: This article describes keyboard shortcuts for classic Yammer only. For information on accessibility in new Yammer, see Accessibility in new Viva Engage.
Many users find that using an external keyboard with keyboard shortcuts for Yammer helps them work more efficiently. For users with mobility or vision disabilities, keyboard shortcuts can be easier than using the touchscreen and are an essential alternative to using a mouse.
Notes:
-
These keyboard shortcuts refer only to the yammer.com web interface. These shortcuts will not work when your cursor is in a text-input or a search field, or when you are in a context other than the indicated one.
-
The shortcuts in this topic refer to the US keyboard layout. Keys for other layouts might not correspond exactly to the keys on a US keyboard.
-
A comma sign (,) in a shortcut means that you need to press multiple keys in order.
-
When you use Yammer, we recommend that you use Microsoft Edge as your web browser. Because Yammer runs in your web browser, the keyboard shortcuts are different from those in the desktop program. For example, you’ll use Ctrl+F6 instead of F6 for jumping in and out of the commands. Also, common shortcuts like F1 (Help) and Ctrl+O (Open) apply to the web browser – not Yammer.
