  • Check your Windows audio settings. Press the Windows key and type Microphone privacy settings. Select Microphone privacy settings from the Start menu. Make sure Let apps access your microphone and Microphone access are turned on. For more on audio in Windows, see Fix sound or audio problems in Windows.

  • Is your microphone unmuted? When in a meeting, select the Teams microphone icon microphone button in the meeting controls toolbar.

  • If you're in a meeting, select More (Generic Ellipsis button) in meeting controls, and choose Teams audio settings Audio settings. Check your microphone selection and see if it's showing varying levels as you speak.

  • If you're not in a meeting, select Settings and more (Generic Ellipsis button) by your profile picture or initials and choose Settings gear iconSettings. Select  Teams settings device iconDevices and check your microphone choice. Try Test call button iconMake a test call.
