ISSUE
When a Microsoft account (MSA) has a license for both Office 2024 and for an earlier version of Office, such as Office 2021, then after installing Office 2024, the app backstage may still show the earlier version of Office instead of Office 2024. This would also be occurred installing Office 2024 with Office Pre-installed PC for corporate.
STATUS: RESOLUTION
To resolve the problem, please install the latest update for Office 2024.

If you are still having this problem after installing the latest updates, please follow the steps below.
[Office 2024 Microsoft account Based]

Close all open Office apps, then navigate to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Office\Licenses.

Delete the Folder named “5” in that directory.

Launch any of the Office apps and sign in to the Microsoft account associated with Office 2024 then select Office 2024 from the available Office list.

Confirm Office 2024 shows on [Product Information].

Close all open Office apps and then navigate to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Office\Licenses.

Delete the Folder named “5” in that directory.

Launch any of the Office apps and follow the steps to use Office 2024.
