Save files or folders for later in SharePoint or OneDrive

You can save files and folders to view later in Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive for work or school. These files are flagged and you can find them in the Saved for later view on the OneDrive for work or school website.

You can also save SharePoint site pages to view later.

Save a file or folder for later

  1. Navigate to the file or folder that you want to save for later.

  2. You can save the file or folder for later one of two ways:

    • Hover over the file or folder name, then select the banner icon to the right of the name.

    • Select the check circle next to the file or folder name, and in the top navigation bar, select Save for later.

  3. A small banner icon will appear next to all files or folders marked as Saved for later.

To view all of your Saved for later files or folders in one place, select Saved for later.

Tip: You can navigate to the parent folder where the file or folder is stored by clicking the folder link underneath the file or folder name.

Remove the Save for later marker from a file or folder

You can remove the marker from a file or folder while in either the Saved for later view, or in the folder itself where the file or folder is stored.

Select the check circle next to the file or folder name, and in the top bar, select Remove from Saved.

This will clear the banner icon from next to the file or folder name.

If you still need help, shake your mobile device while you're in the OneDrive app or email the OneDrive support team. To contact OneDrive support from your PC or Mac, select the OneDrive icon in the notification area or menu bar, then select More > Send feedback > I don't like something.
