Search and join Discoverable groups in GroupMe

If a group is visible to everyone, finding and joining a Discoverable group is simple.

Tap Discover . If this is your first time using Discoverable groups, you may need to Allow access to your location. This will show relevant search results and allow GroupMe access to your location. You can choose to allow While using the app, Only this time, or Don't allow.

Note: If you choose Don't allow, you will not be able to search or join Discoverable groups.
You can find and join groups under Nearby.
Tap See more to get a list of available Discoverable groups or tap to Search groups and enter your search phrase into the text area.
If any Discoverable groups are found, they will populate under the search.
Select Join to be a member of the group. If you’re already a member of a listed group, GroupMe will show View next to the group.

Note: If the group admin has enabled Who can join, you might need to request access to the group.

Sign in to your account from a compatible web browser.
