Notes:
-
Some functionality is introduced gradually to organizations that have opted into the Targeted Release program. This means that you may not yet see this feature or it may look different than what is described in the help articles.
-
This feature is supported only on SharePoint sites that use the default domain name (such as contoso.onmicrosoft.com). It's unsupported on sites that use vanity names.
-
If the Viva Engage Security option Enforce Office 365 identity is enabled, only licensed Engage users can share pages to Engage. Otherwise, anyone with access to the page can see and use this option. Learn more about Enforce Office 365 identity for Engage users.
You can share a page to an Engage community using the full experience of Engage conversations including a rich preview for media as well as visual treatment for questions, praise, and polls. You can also add images and add rich text to the message.
-
On your SharePoint page, select Send to at the top of the page.
-
In the Send to Engage box, add a message to start the discussion about the page.
Tip: To format your message, select the Show formatting toolbar button at the bottom of the Send to Engage box.
-
Under the rich preview of the page, select Add community and select the Engage community you want to share to.
-
Optionally, you can add discussions, topics, attachments or gifs using the toolbar at the bottom, and send the post as a praise, question, or poll.
-
When you're done, select Post.
After you post, you can view your post in the Engage community you shared to.
