You can select whether to have contact photos displayed next to messages in your inbox. Some account types will have the toggle set to Off as a default. To change this setting, go to Settings > Mail > Show Contact Photos.
Quality and availability of contact photos can vary depending on account type, and contact photos are made available by your organization or email provider. If a photo is not available, one will not be displayed even with the Show Contact Photos setting enabled.
