Square root

1. Go to Insert > Equation. Select Radical. 
   
   

2. Choose Square Root or Square Root with Degree.

3. Select the space inside the dotted square under the radical and type a number or letter.

Math equations like square root isn't currently possible in PowerPoint for the web. You can, however, create math equations in the PowerPoint desktop app.

• To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select  Editing and choose Open in Desktop App.
