Take a screen clipping

1. Switch to OneNote and place the cursor where you want to add the screen clipping.

2. On the Insert tab, select Screen Clipping, or press Alt + N, R,1. 

3. Use your mouse or finger to select the area of the screen you want to capture. The selection will appear as an image in your notes and be copied to the Windows Clipboard.

OneNote for the web doesn't have Screen Clipping, but here's a web based workaround. 

1. Select the content you want to clip on a web page.

2. Right-click the selection and choose Clip selection to OneNote or Clip image to OneNote.

To take a screen clipping in OneNote 365 for Mac, follow these steps:

1. Press ⌘ + Shift + 4. Your cursor will change to a crosshair.

2. Drag to select the area you want to capture. Release the mouse button to take the screenshot.

3. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop. Drag the screenshot into your OneNote page.
