Haven't subscribed or purchased Office yet? Not a problem. You can use Office for the web for free to create Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint decks. The Office app for Windows 10 helps you get to files quickly, and upload files from your computer to the cloud.
If you've already paid for Microsoft 365, you can download and install the apps on all your devices and sign into 5 devices at the same time.Â
Why did www.office.com or the Office app open automatically?
The keyboard shortcut combination Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win opens the Office app or www.office.com. Sometimes existing shortcuts, macros, and even drivers use this same keyboard shortcut combination. If you've relied on the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win shortcut to perform other actions in the past, you'll notice that using it launches Office now.
