Use @ mentions to get someone's attention

In Teams for your personal life, you can easily get someone’s attention using @ mentions.

To mention someone in any chat, go to the chat and type an @ into the Type a new message window. Start typing the person’s name directly after the @; any matching names in the chat will display under the Type a message window, and you can select the one you want.

Once you’ve selected the person you want to mention, type your message, then select the Send  Send message icon in Teams  button.

The person you mentioned will receive a notification, which they can select to see your message.
