Chat, call, and more. Right at your fingertips

Chat in Windows 11 lets you quickly connect with friends and family directly from your computer's taskbar. This allows you to check in whether or not you have the Teams app open. To learn more about the benefits of Chat, see Get started with Chat in Windows 11.

New keyboard shortcuts in chat

Use your keyboard to navigate your way around chat in Teams. For example, press the Up and Down arrow keys to move through your chat list, press Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on macOS) to focus on the compose box and send a message, and more.
