Where is the Design tab?

1. If you don't see the Design tab at the top of the ribbon, you can add it.

2. Right-click the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon.

3. In the list of tabs on the right, select the check box next to Design and select OK.

The Design tab is on the Word for the Mac ribbon. 

The Design tab isn't currently available in Word for the web. You can, however, the Design tab is in the Word desktop app.

• To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing and choose Open in Desktop App.
