Select the picture, shape, or text box that you want text to wrap around.

On the Picture Format or Shape Format tab that appears, selectÂ
 Wrap Text and choose a layout. (Choose  Top and Bottom to remove wrapping.)
Tip:Â You can also adjust text settings to control line and page breaks.

In Word for the web, you can wrap text around a picture, not a shape or text box.

Select a picture and, on the Picture tab that appears, selectÂ
 Wrap Text and choose a layout.
To wrap text around a shape or text box, open the desktop app.

At the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
