Microsoft now offers even more support options for your Surface through Authorized Reseller Customer Service Centers (Walk-in Center) and the addition of Authorized Service Providers (ASP).  Countries and location will vary. 

Walk-in Centers: Available in India and China, these Customer Service Centers are open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday. (National holidays and other exceptions may apply.  See your local customer Service Center for details.)

Authorized Service Providers (ASP): To get in-person service for your Surface, you can visit a Microsoft Authorized Service Provider to get quality service performed by trusted experts using certified parts.  Currently available in China only Authorized Service Provider finder page.

How to prepare your Surface or Surface Accessory for Walk in Center Service

  • Before arriving at the Customer Service Center, please back up your data. The data on your Surface is erased as part of the service process. However, if you prefer, you can erase your data yourself prior to your visit.

  • Please bring your original receipt, invoice or copy to confirm the warranty status of your device. But if you cannot provide an invoice, don’t worry! We can also verify your warranty status with your Surface’s serial number.

  • If your device or accessory is damaged or is outside of its warranty period, it may not be replaced. Please view the Surface Standard Warranty for more information on how to see your warranty.

  • Support services (including professional hardware inspection, troubleshooting, and system recovery services) may vary based on location. See your local Customer Service Center for details.

Why visit an Authorized Reseller Customer Service Center (Walk in Center)?

Authorized Reseller Customer Service Centers provide a premium one-stop-shop for our customer’s technology needs.

They offer both enhanced support services including professional hardware inspection, troubleshooting, and system recovery services (not always available in standard Walk in Center locations), in addition to a full lineup of Microsoft products available for purchase.
