Copy the window or screen contents - Microsoft Support
After you capture a snip, it's automatically copied to the Snipping Tool window. From there you can edit, save, or share the snip. Set up your screen so you can clearly see what you want to capture. Press Windows logo key+Shift+S. The desktop darkens so you can select an area for your screenshot.

You can insert the whole program window, or use the Screen Clipping tool to select part of a window. Only windows that have not been minimized to the taskbar can be captured. When you choose Screen Clipping, your entire window will temporarily become opaque or “frosted over.”
