To make sure that Skype is no longer running, check that all Skype processes have been closed:

Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

Click Task Manager .

Click Skype then click End Task .

Click Yes to end the process.

If you do not see Skype immediately, click More details . In the Processes tab, click on any entry beginning with the word "Skype" and click End Task .
