Find your fit for Surface Earbuds

Place the earbud in your ear with the tip pointing slightly downward, and then gently twist it backward until it feels comfortable and secure. It should sit in your ear without sealing inside it and being forced. This lets you get the sound you want while still hearing ambient sound around you.

For a customized fit, try all the different-sized silicone tips that are included with your Surface Earbuds, and then see which one works best for you. Here’s how to change the tips:

  1. Remove the silicone tip from the earbud: Lift the silicone tip from the back of the earbud, and then gently pull it forward.

  2. Put on a new tip: Place the silicone tip on the front of the earbud, and then gently pull it backward. You might use a different size in each ear. Both the earbud and silicone tip have a left (L) and a right (R) on them. Make sure they match when you put a new tip on the earbud.
