If you’re having trouble with the recovery options on your Surface, you’ll need to download these files to get it working again.
Note: If you're an IT admin, managing Surface for Business devices in your organization, see Recovery tool (Surface IT Toolkit) for another way to restore a supported Surface device to its factory state.
Before you start
Your Surface comes with Windows recovery info that you can use to refresh your Surface or reset it to its factory condition. Always try to do that first before downloading a recovery image.

For Surface Hub 2S and Surface Hub 3, see Reset & recovery for Surface Hub 2S & Surface Hub 3 for specifics on which recovery images are support for each device model. If you have a Surface Hub 3 or if you've upgraded your Surface Hub 2s device with a Hub 3 Pack, only the "Windows 11 IoT Enterprise with the Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows experience" download is supported. Using other recovery images may cause harm to your device and void your warranty.
