This article describes a 0x133 Stop error that occurs in Windows Server 2012 R2. You can fix this issue by using the update in this article. Before you install this update, see the Prerequisites section.

Symptoms

Computer crashes after you install hotfix 3061460, and you receive a Stop error that looks something like this:

STOP: 0x00000133 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

Notes

  • This Stop error indicates a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION issue.

  • The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.

  • Not all "0x00000133" Stop errors are caused by this issue.

You can get this update through Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. Even though this issue is observed only in Windows Server 2012 R2, this update also applies to Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1. Cause

This issue occurs because the IPMI driver calls the KeClearEvent routine at the IRQL driver that gets called in a stress scenario. This causes the deadlock because the KeClearEvent routine shouldn't be called at Device IRQL.
