This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for the Poland (pl) region.
INTRODUCTION
This article describes a country-specific update in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.
On January 1, 2013, some new changes about the value-added tax (VAT) law was implemented in Poland. The rule that defines the VAT tax point is changed.
Currently, the VAT tax point is the date of delivery of goods or services. However, if a transaction should be confirmed by issuing an invoice, the tax point is shifted to the date of invoice issuing, but not later than seven days from the date of delivery of goods or services.
From January 1, 2013, this regulation has a new exception, for transactions as European Union (EU) deliveries. If the transactions are generated for EU deliveries, the rule for the VAT tax point indication is the date of invoice issuing, but not later than the 15th day after the month of delivery of goods or services.
To comply with this change, a country-specific update is available in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.
More Information
After you apply this update, the existing validation during the posing process is changed only for transactions between EU countries in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2. This change is for all transactions that contains posting sales lines or free text invoice lines that use a sales tax group which has the EU trade check box selected.
For these transactions that use the sales tax group which has the EU trade check box selected, the following validation for the corresponding sales orders is removed:
Document date > Sales date + 7 daysAdditionally, the following new validations during the invoice posting for sales orders, project and free text invoices that use the sales tax group which has the EU trade check box selected are added:

Document date is not later than the 15th day of the next month of the sales date or the earliest delivery date in packing slips.
-
Document date is later or equal than the sales date in the same month.
Additionally, the following validation error message is added:
Sales order xxxx cannot be invoiced. The selected date for the delivery documents is incorrect, or the sales date is incorrect.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this update.
