Answers in Viva: Earn and view badges
Answers in Viva connects employees based on their subject matter expertise captured in Viva Topics, to get their questions answered, connect with subject matter experts, and increase their overall learning.
Begin your Answers experience by selecting the Answers tab in the Viva Engage Teams app.

Earn and view badges
Badges create recognition for people who help out their colleagues by contributing in Answers. As you use Answers, you'll be rewarded with badges for specific actions.
You may earn five types of badges:

Best Answer: your answer is marked as the Best Answer

Seeker level 1: your question receives three upvotes

Seeker level 2: your question receives 10 upvotes

Scholar level 1: your answer receives three upvotes

Scholar level 2: your answer receives 10 upvotes
Each time you earn a new badge, you'll get a celebratory Teams notification prompting you to view the question or answer that earned recognition, or view the badge in your Achievements and awards page.
Note: You can also view your Answer badges by selecting View all from the Badges right module on your Answers homepage.
Enable or disable badges
Rewards and recognition can be enabled or disabled by the Engage admin and Global admin of your organization. If enabled, the admin can set User Preferences, allowing users to opt out of the badges feature. Learn more in our Rewards and recognition admin documentation.
Note: If you turn off badges, all of your Answers badge data will be deleted and your organization won't be able to see your badges. You'll still be able to view the rewards and recognition achievements from others in your organization.

To disable badges, select the ellipses menu from your Achievements and awards page to view a dropdown option to turn off answers badges
Note: You'll soon be able to see locked badges that you haven't earned yet in your Achievements and awards page with the necessary requirements to earn each badge.
